Scope
This document specifies the ONU management and control interface (OMCI), the OMCI protocol-independent MIB, the ONU management control channel (OMCC), and the management control protocol, as well as the OMCI message set for Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON), 10Gbit/s Passive Optical Network (XG-PON), and 10Gbit/s Symmetric Passive Optical Network (XGS-PON) systems. This document is applicable to the design, development, production, and operation of GPON/XG-PON/XGS-PON equipment based on public telecommunications networks.
