Scope

This standard specifies the intermediate interface technology for information exchange provided and opened by different software systems related to the technical information system (TIS). These software systems can be mainly divided into the following categories: PDM, CAD, CAPP, etc. The open intermediate interface can be used to support many other software systems related to modern design engineering, such as CAE, CAM, etc., and can also support management information systems such as ERP.
