Scope

This standard specifies the test methods for the shrink strength, cold shrink strength, and shrinkage rate of heat-shrinkable films. This standard is applicable to heat-shrinkable films made from polyethylene, ethylene copolymers, and their mixtures. Heat-shrinkable films made from other types of materials can also be referenced for implementation. Note: This method can also be used for the evaluation of shrinkage rate (in air). However, the measurement methods for the relevant shrinkage rate are mainly referenced to the standard GB/T 12027-2004.
