Scope

This standard specifies two methods for determining the tensile breaking strength of impregnated untwisted roving. Standard method: The specimen is equipped with a molded epoxy resin reinforcement piece; Simple method: The specimen is not equipped with a reinforcement piece, or is equipped with a simple cardboard reinforcement piece or a composite reinforcement piece. These two methods are suitable for stranded untwisted roving and direct untwisted roving; the standard method is suitable for all line densities, while the simple method is only suitable for untwisted roving with a line density of 1200 tex, which is easy to make into a flat specimen.
