Scope

This standard specifies the classification, content requirements, setting requirements, and production methods of hazardous waste identification marks that must be set by units generating, collecting, storing, utilizing, and disposing of hazardous waste. This standard applies to hazardous waste containers and packaging, as well as environmental protection identification marks used in facilities and sites for collecting, storing, utilizing, and disposing of hazardous waste. The setting of identification marks during the transportation of hazardous waste shall also comply with the relevant national regulations on the management of dangerous goods transportation. The setting of identification marks for medical waste shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of HJ 421.
