Scope

This standard specifies the headspace/gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method for the determination of 15 ketones and 6 ethers in soil and sediments. This standard is applicable to the determination of ethyl ether, acetone, methyl tert-butyl ether, diisopropyl ether, ethyl tert-butyl ether, 2-butanone, methyl pentyl ether, 2-pentanone, ethyl pentyl ether, 3-pentanone, methyl tert-butyl ketone, 4-methyl-2-pentanone, 2-hexanone, cyclopentanone, 3-heptanone, 2-heptanone, cyclohexanone, 6-methyl-2-heptanone, diisobutyl methyl ketone, 3-octanone, and 2-octanone in soil and sediments. When the sampling quantity is 2.0 g, the headspace vial volume is 22 ml, and the saturated sodium chloride solution volume is 10 ml, the method detection limits for 15 ketones and 6 ethers are 0.1 mg/kg to 2 mg/kg, and the determination lower limits are 0.4 mg/kg to 8 mg/kg.
