GB/T 21649.2-2025 Particle size analysis—Image analysis methods—Part 2:Dynamic image analysis methods
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes a method of converting particles with relative motion into binary images in actual systems, where the particles in the image are separated into individual entities. The images of moving particles are created by optical image acquisition devices. The impact of particle motion on the image can be minimized by the instrument or corrected through software programs. This document is applicable to moving particle images that clearly differ from the background. In subsequent analysis, these binary images can be considered as static images, and their characterization methods are described in GB/T 21649.1—2024. Compared with static image analysis systems, dynamic image analysis systems can measure more particles. This document provides guidance for instrument qualification for particle size distribution measurement using standard particle samples. This document discusses in detail the relative motion of particles, the impact of particle motion on the image (motion blur), the movement and position of particles along the optical axis (depth of field), and the direction of relative motion between particles and the camera.
