Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, and inspection rules for hydraulic control valves used on civilian ships (hereinafter referred to as marine hydraulic valves).
This standard applies to the design and acceptance of marine hydraulic valves that use petroleum-based hydraulic oil as the working medium (except for proportional hydraulic valves, servo valves, cartridge valves, and superimposed valves).
