Scope
This document specifies the principles, testing machines, specimens, testing procedures, calculation of elastic modulus, and test reports for determining the intrinsic elastic modulus of metal materials using the rate-jump method. This document is applicable to the instrumented indentation method for testing the elastic modulus of metal materials under either test force control or displacement control, and is particularly suitable for metal materials exhibiting obvious creep phenomena. Other non-metallic solid materials can also refer to this document for implementation.
