Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for direct current electric bilge pumps used to discharge bilge water from small boats with a length of not more than 24 m.
This standard applies to direct current (d.c.) electric bilge pumps with a rated voltage of less than 50 V.
This standard does not apply to bilge pumps used for damage control.
