Scope
1.1 This standard specifies the safety requirements for general-purpose small and medium-sized rotating electric motors (motors and generators, hereinafter referred to as motors). 1.2 This standard does not apply to aerospace motors, traction motors, explosion-proof motors, lifting metallurgical motors, and shielded motors. For low-power motors produced in accordance with GB/T 5171, GB 12350 can also be used as the assessment basis.
