Scope

This standard applies to brackets and buccal tubes in orthodontic fixed appliances. This standard specifies the methods for comparing the functional dimensions of orthodontic brackets and buccal tubes, and the detailed rules for measuring test methods, and also stipulates the packaging and labeling information of the products.
This standard does not include qualitative and quantitative requirements for possible biological hazards, but it is recommended to refer to ISO 10993-1 and ISO 7405 when evaluating possible biological hazards.
