Scope

This document describes a method for determining the wear resistance of foil finishes, laminates, impregnated film paper finishes, coloured paints, and transparent varnish surfaces. Note: Laminates include high-pressure decorative laminates (HPL) impregnated with thermosetting resins and other boards. The tests in this document can be conducted on unused components of finished furniture, as well as on test specimens that are identical to the furniture materials, have the same surface decoration process, and meet the size requirements for the test.
