Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, basic requirements, system design, installation and construction, acceptance, and maintenance of fixed gas-powered supersonic dry powder fire extinguishing systems. This standard applies to fixed gas-powered supersonic dry powder fire extinguishing systems in building engineering. This system can be used to extinguish the following fires: ——Gas fires that can be cut off the gas source before extinguishing; ——Flammable, combustible liquids and meltable solid fires; ——Combustible solid surface fires; ——Electrified equipment fires. This system is not suitable for extinguishing fires involving the following materials: ——Chemical substances and strong oxidants that can still rapidly oxidize in the absence of air, such as nitrocellulose and explosives; ——Reactive metals such as potassium, sodium, magnesium, titanium, and zirconium, and their hydrides.
