Scope
This standard specifies a method for determining the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) content in hard polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) pipes and fittings based on the total chlorine content.
This standard applies to hard polyvinyl chloride pipes and fittings.
Note: For pipes and fittings containing other chlorine-containing components such as chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C) or chlorinated polyethylene (CPE), the PVC content measured by this method may deviate from the actual value.
