Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, general requirements, preparation work before regular inspection, inspection items and methods, safety status grading, and the content of inspection conclusions and reports for in-service high-pressure gas underground storage wells (hereinafter referred to as storage wells). This standard applies to the regular inspection and assessment of natural gas storage wells with a design pressure not exceeding 27.5 MPa (gauge pressure) and a nominal volume not exceeding 10 m3, which are designed to hold natural gas in accordance with the requirements of GB 18047.
