Scope

This section specifies the terms and definitions, methodological principles, general requirements for instruments, test procedures, data processing, and reporting for the determination of trace moisture in gases using optical cavity ring-down spectroscopy.
This section is applicable to the determination of moisture in gases with a volume fraction of 0.2×10-9 to 20×10-6. It is not applicable to the determination of moisture in gases such as silane, which is easily decomposed by light exposure, or gases containing components that interfere with the absorption spectrum of water.
