Scope

This standard specifies the determination method of volatile organic compounds (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene (ortho, meta, para), ethanol, isopropanol, n-butanol, acetone, 4-methyl-2-pentanone, butanone, cyclohexanone, ethyl acetate, n-propyl acetate, n-butyl acetate, isopropyl acetate, and methyl diethyl ketone (1-methoxy-2-propanol, 2-methoxy-1-propanol)) in cigarette sticks and box packaging paper [headspace gas chromatography (HSGC)]. This standard is applicable to cigarette sticks and box packaging paper, and other printed and coated papers can also be used for reference.
