Scope

This standard specifies the determination methods for the weight loss (or weight gain), silica, iron oxide, titanium dioxide, calcium oxide, magnesium oxide, zirconium dioxide, aluminum oxide, potassium oxide, and sodium oxide in brown corundum abrasives and crystalline blocks. This standard is applicable to the determination of the chemical composition of brown corundum abrasives and crystalline blocks, but not to products whose composition has changed after use.
