Scope

This standard specifies the test method for the residual resistance ratio (RRR) of niobium-titanium (Nb-Ti) and niobium-tin (Nb3Sn) composite superconductors on copper (Cu), copper-nickel (Cu-Ni), copper/copper-nickel (Cu/Cu-Ni) substrates, and aluminum (Al) substrates under no strain and no external magnetic field conditions. This standard is applicable to the measurement of the residual resistance ratio of integrated superconductors with a residual resistance ratio lower than 350, a cross-sectional area smaller than 3 mm2, and a rectangular or circular cross-section. For Nb3Sn composite superconductors, the samples undergo reaction heat treatment.
