Scope
This standard specifies the test method for the residual resistance ratio (RRR) of composite superconductors composed of a copper, copper-nickel (Cu, Cu-Ni), or copper/copper-nickel (Cu/Cu-Ni) matrix and a niobium-titanium (Nb-Ti) filament. This standard is applicable to the determination of the residual resistance ratio of integrated superconducting wires 1) with a cross-sectional area less than 3mm2, a rectangular or circular cross-section, and a residual resistance ratio lower than 350, under conditions without an applied magnetic field.
