Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the term definitions and classification of synthetic stone products, namely synthetic granite (also known as artificial granite) and synthetic quartz stone (also known as artificial quartz stone). This standard applies to industrial synthetic stone products mainly made from resin, cement, or a mixture of the two, with the addition of stone materials, inorganic fillers, or other substances. Industrialized production refers to the process of making products with specific geometrical shapes using molding technology in fixed factory equipment. Common synthetic stone products on the market include square materials, rough boards, polished flat panels, specification boards, and various shaped products. This standard does not apply to other synthetic stones that are not used for flooring, wall decoration, or similar purposes (such as drainage channels, structural components, etc.).
