Basic Information
Scope
This document defines the terms and definitions of step-type and riding-type snow throwers driven by internal combustion engines, and stipulates the general test methods. This document is intended to be used in conjunction with GB/T 43326.2—2023, GB/T 43326.3—2023, and GB/T 43326.4-2023 to meet all the requirements and test methods for step-type and riding-type snow throwers.
GB/T 43326 (all parts) deals with major hazards, dangerous situations, and events related to snow throwers when used for their intended purpose and under conditions that can be reasonably foreseen by the manufacturer.
This document is not applicable to:
——Electric and battery-driven snow throwers;
——Handheld snow throwers;
——Airport or highway snow removal machines and equipment;
——Machines intended for use in potentially explosive environments.
This document does not address the following related hazards:
——Battery circuits exceeding 42 V;
——Starting motors connected to the mains;
——Grounding circuits of magnetic generators;
——Working environment;
——Electromagnetic compatibility.
This document is not applicable to snow throwers manufactured before the date of publication of this document.
