This document defines the terms and definitions of naming and marking for fishing gear materials, and establishes the principles of naming and the components of marking for fishing ropes.
This document applies to the production, trade, and management of fishing ropes that have not undergone post-processing such as impregnation or coating. Other ropes can be used for reference purposes.
