Scope

This standard specifies the dimensions, materials, technical requirements, and markings of spring collets, taper shank seats, and nuts used for clamping cylindrical tool handles. For spring collets that do not comply with this standard, such as those specified in drawings, the decision shall be made through consultation between the supplier and the buyer. Type A is used for clamping with a deviation range of h10. Type B is used for situations without lateral cutting loads.
