Scope

This part of GB/T 16462 specifies the evaluation of thermal deformation of the machine structure and positioning system of CNC lathes and turning centers.
This part is applicable to CNC lathes and turning centers with a linear axis travel of up to 2,000 mm. CNC lathes and turning centers with a linear axis travel greater than 2,000 mm can also be used as a reference.
This part specifies three testing methods, namely:
——Environmental temperature change error testing;
——Thermal deformation testing caused by spindle rotation;
——Thermal deformation testing caused by linear axis movement.
It should be noted that no specific tolerance values are given for the tests described in this part.
