Scope

This part of GB/T 16462 specifies the geometric accuracy inspection of CNC horizontal lathes and turning centers with a maximum turning diameter of up to 1,000 mm and a linear axis travel of up to 2,000 mm in the general accuracy class. Machines of this type with a Z-axis travel greater than 2,000 mm can also be used as a reference. This part also specifies the tolerances for various geometric accuracy inspections. This part explains the different concepts, configurations, and common features of CNC lathes and turning centers, and provides terms and names for control axes (see Figure 1 and Table 1). This part is only applicable to the accuracy inspection of machine tools. It is not applicable to the operational inspection of machine tools (such as the inspection of machine tool vibration, abnormal noise, and component creep) and the performance inspection of machine tools (such as speed and feed inspection), as these inspections are typically conducted prior to the accuracy inspection.
