Scope

This standard specifies the test conditions, sample preparation, reagent preparation, blank test, determination method, precision, and test report for the determination of soluble chlorides, fluorides, silicates, sodium ions, and leachate pH in insulation materials. This standard is applicable to the determination of soluble chlorides, fluorides, silicates, sodium ions, and leachate pH in insulation materials used to cover austenitic stainless steel, such as mineral wool and its products, calcium silicate, composite silicates, expanded perlite, foam asbestos, foam glass, aerogel insulation products, and thermal insulation and fire-resistant coatings, as well as the determination of soluble chlorides, fluorides, silicates, sodium ions, and leachate pH in insulation materials for other applications.
