Scope

This document specifies the product classification, technical requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage, as well as ordering and supply of industrial microwave heating devices. It describes the corresponding test methods. This document is applicable to industrial microwave heating devices (hereinafter referred to as "microwave heating devices") that use microwave frequencies (see 5.5.4) to dry, sterilize, inactivate enzymes, cook, extract, and vulcanize rubber materials under natural or vacuum atmospheres. This document is not applicable to microwave heating appliances for household and similar purposes.
