Scope

The selection guidance method provided in this standard is applicable to chain drives for industrial use composed of chains and sprockets that comply with GB/T 1243. The selection procedure for chain drives and the rated power of roller chains specified in this standard are applicable to roller chain drives specified in Chapters 9.1, 9.2, and 10. The expected service life of the chain drive is 15,000 hours. Due to the different variations in the load characteristics, environmental conditions, and maintenance of chain drives, users of this standard should consult with the suppliers of chains and sprockets to ensure that the performance of the products meets the requirements of users and this standard.
