Scope

This document specifies the terms and definitions for high-temperature drying of sawn timber, requirements for timber selection and stacking, inspection of boards and moisture content detection, recommended drying benchmarks, drying process rules, and quality inspection.
This document is applicable to coniferous sawn timber or easily dried broadleaf sawn timber, which are artificially dried using wet air or superheated steam as the drying medium at temperatures above 100°C.
