Scope

1.0.1 In order to ensure that the wastewater treatment of the sand and gravel system in hydropower projects meets the goals of advanced technology and economic feasibility, these regulations are formulated. 1.0.2 These regulations apply to large and medium-sized sand and gravel systems in hydropower projects. 1.0.3 The wastewater treatment projects of the sand and gravel system should be planned and implemented simultaneously with the sand and gravel system. 1.0.4 The wastewater treatment of the sand and gravel system should actively adopt mature new technologies, new processes, new equipment, and new materials. 1.0.5 After the wastewater from the sand and gravel system is treated, it should be used preferentially in the sand and gravel system and must not be used for drinking water. 1.0.6 In addition to complying with these regulations, the wastewater treatment of the sand and gravel system shall also comply with the provisions of the relevant current national and industry standards.
