Basic Information
Scope
This standard belongs to engineering-level measurement methods and is applicable to the noise measurement of various power tools (hereinafter referred to as "tools") in a stable operating state. This standard specifies the use of the A-weighted sound power level measurement method. In one or more reflection planes (indoor or outdoor), the sound pressure level is measured on the measurement surface of the enveloping sound source to calculate the sound power level of the sound source. It also provides requirements for the test environment and measurement instruments, as well as methods for calculating the surface sound pressure level and sound power level. The accuracy level of the sound power level measurement results is grade 2. This standard is not applicable to tools with single pulses and sudden noises with a repetition rate of less than 10 times per second.
