Scope

This part specifies the protection types of mechanical products used in industrial corrosive environments, as well as the usage environmental conditions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for such products.
This part applies to general-purpose mechanical industrial products used under the environmental conditions specified in GB/T 14092.5. The product categories include internal combustion engines, construction machinery, heavy machinery, lifting and transport machinery, petroleum general machinery, electrical products, instruments and meters, machine tools, and general parts, etc.
This part does not apply to products used in environments with explosive media or in special environments such as oceans, ships, mines, and nuclear radiation.
