Scope
This document specifies the integration and testing requirements for IAMS in low-voltage switchgear and controlgear - assembled power switchgear and controlgear in accordance with GB/T 7251.1—2023 and GB/T 7251.2—2023, to clarify their correct use.
This document does not address personnel safety and damage to PSC switchgear, which are specified in GB/T 18859—2016 (see also 10.10.1).
Note: This document serves as a reference document for other types of switchgear in GB/T 7251 (all parts), but taking into account the specific circumstances of other switchgear or products, the test procedures and acceptance criteria can be modified and adopted.
IAMS consists of IACDs and IARDs that comply with their relevant product standards (for example, optical IACDs comply with IEC 60947-9-2, AQDs comply with IEC 60947-9-1, and SCPDs comply with IEC 60947-2). In order to ensure the functional reliability of PSC switchgear, the verification of the correct use of the complete system under integrated conditions is provided.
This document only applies to enclosed PSC switchgear and involves the verification of all requirements for integration in conjunction with GB/T 7251.1—2023 and GB/T 7251.2—2023.
The test procedures given in this document consider:
——The correct function of IAMS in PSC switchgear;
——Preventing unintended operation of IAMS in PSC switchgear;
——The operation of the system after the switchgear is powered on.
Different tests under more severe conditions (such as the door being in the open position) are applied in accordance with the agreement between the user and the original manufacturer of the PSC switchgear.
This document does not replace any separate product standards. The requirements for individual electrical appliances are specified in their product standards.
This document does not apply to the integration of arc fault detection appliances (AFDDs) that comply with IEC 62606.
