Scope
This standard specifies three methods for determining iron in seawater cooling water: inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES), flame atomic absorption spectrometry, and phenanthroline spectrometry.
This standard is applicable to the determination of total iron and soluble iron content in seawater cooling water. Among them, inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) is the arbitration method with a detection limit of 0.02 mg/L; the detection limit of flame atomic absorption spectrometry is 0.20 mg/L; and the detection limit of phenanthroline spectrometry is 2 μg.
