Scope

This rule applies to the type testing of products listed in the "Elevator Type Testing Product Catalog" (see Annex A, hereinafter referred to as the "Catalog"). Products listed in the Catalog shall undergo type testing in any of the following circumstances: (1) Manufactured by a manufacturer for the first time or manufactured abroad and put into use in China for the first time; (2) The main parameters of the product exceed the applicable scope; (3) Changes have occurred in the product configuration specified in the product type testing requirements; (4) Other circumstances that affect the safety performance of the product and require type testing by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the "National Quality Inspection Administration") have occurred.
