This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and specifications, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, use, and maintenance of steel wire reinforced hose assemblies for diesel engines. This standard applies to steel wire reinforced hose assemblies used with diesel, engine oil, and coolant as working media in diesel engines and similar environments.
