Scope

In order to unify the technical requirements of engineering measurement, achieve advanced technology and reasonable economy, and ensure that the results of engineering measurement meet the principles of reliable quality and safe application, this standard is formulated. This standard is applicable to general measurement work in the field of engineering construction. Engineering measurement shall take mean error as the standard for measuring surveying and mapping accuracy, and take twice the mean error as the limit error. For projects with higher accuracy requirements, the observation accuracy can be evaluated according to the method in Appendix A. The types of areas for engineering measurement shall be divided into general areas, urban construction areas, industrial and mining areas, and water areas. The metrological instruments used in engineering measurement shall be subject to strengthened management, with corresponding rules and regulations established and calibrated according to the prescribed cycle. The software used shall be tested or verified. The measurement results and data referenced in the project shall be checked and verified. In addition to complying with this standard, engineering measurement shall also comply with the provisions of the relevant national standards currently in force.
