Scope

In order to standardize the test methods for the basic mechanical properties of masonry and provide accurate and reliable test data for the research, design, and quality inspection of masonry structures, this standard is formulated. This standard is applicable to the testing and inspection of the basic mechanical properties of all types of masonry in masonry structure engineering. For newly developed blocks or masonry mortars, the basic mechanical properties of masonry should also be tested in accordance with this standard.
