Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for in-service testing of pumps within the nuclear island of pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. This standard applies to safety-related centrifugal pumps and positive displacement pumps with emergency power supplies. This standard does not apply to the following equipment: a) pumps that are independently provided with emergency power supplies for operational convenience; b) pumps that are fixed by brackets as part of other components and have been fully tested and verified
