本文件描述了应用于通信系统中同轴电缆衰减常数的试验方法。本文件适用于同轴通信电缆，也适用于频率≥ 5 MHz的试验。
如果复数特性阻抗幅值近似等于试样的标称特性阻抗，或是运用函数拟合方式进行计算，也适用于在较低频率下的试验。
