Scope
This document specifies the procedure for preparing quality control charts for confirming the quality of spectrochemical analysis. It proposes guidelines for taking corrective measures; control can be achieved by verifying the response values of test samples with instruments, which can be done simultaneously with the drawing of control charts. This document is specifically for atomic emission spectrometry and can be conditionally applied to other analytical methods. It is not suitable for verifying the accuracy of calibration, and the procedures described in this document are not applicable to analyses that require calibration every time a set of data is measured.
