GB/T 50353-2013 Standard measurement for construction area of building

Scope

This standard applies to the calculation of floor area for the entire construction process of new, expanded, and modified industrial and civil buildings. In accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development's "Notice on Issuing the 2012 Plan for the Formulation and Revision of Engineering Construction Standards" (Jianbiao [2012] No. 5), the standard-drafting group conducted extensive investigations and research, carefully summarized experience, and revised this standard after soliciting extensive opinions. The main technical content of this standard includes: General Provisions, Terminology, and Regulations for Calculating Floor Area. The main technical content of the revised standard includes: 1. Added provisions for calculating the area of the raised floor of a building, and eliminated the raised floor of deep foundations; 2. Eliminated provisions for calculating the area of structures with permanent roofs, and added provisions for calculating the area of structures with protective facilities but no protective structures; 3. Revised provisions for calculating the area of floor-to-ceiling windows, vestibules, projecting galleries, corridors, and eaves galleries; 4. Added requirements for calculating the floor area of protruding (overhanging) windows; 5. Revised provisions for calculating the area of buildings whose protective structures are not perpendicular to the horizontal plane and extend beyond the outer edge of the base slab; 6. Deleted the requirement that outdoor staircases with permanent roofs be included in the calculation of floor area; 7. Revised provisions for calculating the area of balconies; 8. Revised provisions for calculating the area of external insulation layers; 9. Revised provisions for calculating the area of equipment floors and pipe floors; 10. Added provisions for calculating the area of porches; 11. Added provisions for calculating the area of roofed lighting wells.
