GB 3836.17-2007 Electrical apparatus for explosive gas atmosphere—Part 17:Construction and use of rooms or buildings protected by pressurization
Basic Information
Scope
This section specifies the measures to be taken to prevent the intrusion of explosive gases or vapors into rooms or buildings by maintaining a pressure higher than the external atmospheric pressure in rooms or buildings where electrical equipment that may become ignition sources and explosive gases or vapors may occur, using methods of filling with protective gases. This section also specifies the structure, equipment, and operating rules of rooms or buildings and their related parts, such as the inlet and outlet pipes of protective gases, and some auxiliary control devices required to generate and maintain overpressure. This section also specifies the test methods required to prove that the facilities comply with this section, and the signs installed on rooms or buildings. This section only applies to rooms or buildings where combustible gases or vapors cannot be released (actually or potentially) internally.
