Scope

This document specifies the energy efficiency and water efficiency grades, technical requirements, and test methods for electric washing machines (hereinafter referred to as "washing machines") and washer-dryers for household and similar uses.
This document applies to electric washing machines and washer-dryers with a single drum (bucket) rated washing capacity of ≤25.0 kg and a single-phase rated voltage of ≤250 V, used by non-professional personnel in households, stores, schools, and other places. For drum-type washer-dryers and roller-type washer-dryers with a single drum rated drying capacity of ≤1.0 kg, only their washing function is evaluated.
This document does not apply to washing machines without a spin-drying function, washing machines and washer-dryers without a cotton fabric washing program or function, nor to special-purpose washing machines, washer-dryers, and dry-cleaning machines used by professionals.
