Scope
This standard specifies the methods for sampling transformer oil and turbine oil (including fire-resistant oil) from transformers, turbines, water turbines, and speed regulation systems, as well as the methods for sampling from oil barrels, oil tanks, and oil tank trucks. This standard applies to the collection of oil from oil-filled electrical equipment such as transformers, transformers, oil switches, and bushings, as well as oil used in turbines, water turbines, phase regulators, and speed regulation systems. The collection of oil used in generators and feedwater pumps can be carried out with reference to this standard.
