Scope

This document describes a method for measuring the relative dielectric constant (Dk or εr) and dielectric loss tangent (Df or tanδ) of laminates at discrete frequency points within the range of 1.1 GHz to 20 GHz using a split-type dielectric resonator (SPDR). This document is applicable to the testing of copper-clad laminates and insulating dielectric substrates used in printed circuit boards.
