GB/Z 29014.1-2024 Cutting tool data representation and exchange—Part 1:Overview,fundamental principles and general information model

Scope

This document covers the main categories of cutting tool data and their relationships, providing a general information model for data expression and information exchange among these categories, as well as an overview of the product data exchange principles used in GB/Z 29014, descriptions of other parts of GB/Z 29014, and methods of transmitting cutting tool data.
This document is not applicable to: — General data transmission and expression beyond cutting tool data; — Data describing rules, guidelines, and expert knowledge used in the design and manufacture of mechanical parts and cutting tools; — Data describing the reasons for making specific design or manufacturing decisions.
The exchange of tool data and specific projects (cutting projects, tool projects, adaptation projects, and assembly projects), as well as the classification and definition of terms used to describe tools, are defined in other parts of GB/Z 29014 and referenced therein.
GB/Z 29014 establishes an industrial data communication method between different computer systems that is independent of any proprietary system.
