GB/T 7260.2-2026 Uninterruptible power systems(UPS)—Part 2:Electromagnetic compatibility(EMC)requirements
Basic Information
Scope
This document is a product type test standard for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and applies to uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems that are portable, semi-portable, fixed-installed, or built-in, plug-in, and permanently connected, and are used in low-voltage distribution systems in residential, commercial, light industrial, or industrial environments, with a port output voltage not exceeding 1,500 V DC or 1,000 V AC and including energy storage devices.
This document specifies the emission limits, immunity levels, test methods, and performance criteria for UPS units installed, operated, and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, to meet the basic EMC requirements necessary to avoid UPS interference with other equipment (such as radio receivers) and to prevent UPS from being affected by external devices.
The content of this document does not address the EMC impact generated by the loads connected to the UPS or external devices (except as described in the immunity requirements).
This document is coordinated with applicable IEC standards for electromagnetic emission limits and immunity levels and includes additional requirements applicable to UPSs.
The content of this document does not cover:
a) Low-voltage DC power supply devices covered by IEC 61204;
b) Systems with output voltages from rotating motors.
Note 1: UPSs are typically connected to their energy storage devices via a DC link. Chemical batteries are examples of energy storage devices. Alternative devices may be applicable. Therefore, the term "battery" in this document can be understood as "energy storage device".
Note 2: This document is based on product type testing, allowing EMC conformity assessment (compliance evaluation) for C1, C2, and C3 class UPSs before they are placed on the market, and provides guidance for C4 class UPS conformity assessment (see Chapter 4).
